Vocalist with rock superstars, The Who, Roger Daltrey launched a low-key solo music career in 1973 - almost immediately scoring a chart hit with a song Giving It All Away. With the best will in the world, however, he was never going to be as successful as the group he came from. In fact, his commitments to the band along with his burgeoning acting career meant that he was never able to really give his solo shot his full attention. In 1984, this situation took a turn for the better when his acting career really took off, and he would subsequently reunite with his fellow Who members Pete Townshend and John Entwhistle in 1996. He continued to tour alongside Townshend in The Who in the 00s, even after Entwhistle’s sudden death in June 2002.
