Best known as the frontman of The Rolling Stones, one of the most important and successful rock bands of all time, Mick Jagger is one of rock 'n' roll's great icons. His unique, distinctive vocals, and his image, have been central to The Rolling Stone's success, and their remarkable longevity. Since forming the band in 1962, Jagger is still performing and recording with them. The standard of their work has rarely been anything less than excellent. He finally released his debut solo album in 1985, although the results were unremarkable. Several more solo records have materialised since then, with 2001's Goddess In The Doorway the first to achieve favourable write-ups. Jagger has also worked sporadically as an actor, and more recently he has tried his hand at film production. Well into his sixties, Jagger has maintained, if not increased his credibility, and shows no sign of slowing down.
