The LG Optimus 2X is a smartphone designed and manufactured by LG Electronics, Inc. The Optimus 2X is the world's first mobile phone with a dual-core processor and third phone in the LG Optimus-Android series. LG debuted the Optimus 2X on December 16, 2010 and the device first became available to consumers in South Korea in January, 2011. The Optimus 2X runs the Android 2.2 Froyo software stack and LG has commited to upgrading the device to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The LG Optimus 2X is the first smartphone to feature a dual-core processor, clocked at 1 GHz APU by Nvidia. Has a 4 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colours at 480 x 800 pixels. It is capable of recording 1080p HD video capture and playback, a HDMI port and an 8 megapixel camera.
