In football (or soccer in America), striker is the position that most kids dream of playing for their favourite club. Score the winning goal and you are the hero! Strikers come in many forms - flare players with dazzling skills like George Best and Cristiano Ronaldo, powerhouses like Didier Drogba, poachers like Romario and Alan Shearer, and players for whom anything seems possible, like Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona.
